Friday Felicities

Today, what's making me very happy is that I took the plunge and got myself a new baby. No, I'm not pregnant. I got a new sewing machine! Meet Jojo, my new Janome Horizon 7700.

Jojo

Look at that giant harp! 11"+ of space to FMQ! I feel very fortunate to have found a local dealer who had some just-about-new machines available for a great price. Once I sell Bernie the Bernina (any local readers interested in a Bernina 145?), it should all work out very well.

How about you? What is making you happy this week?

  3. I've got the same machine and love it! What's making me happy? I got a Fitbit pedometer and have been a walking fool. Think all the walking is making me happy!

  4. How wonderful! I would love to replace my little singer simple. My husband would love to get me a better one too (considering all the times he has had to fix the darn thing). But alas... At least I can sew...

I have been tempted to name my machine, but nothing seems to work for her... :)

  5. What made me happy today fits to your new machine: I have the same and tried out a quilting stitch, that worked out very well. Have fun with your new baby! (I like it that you named it (I did too).)

  6. Oooh, look at you. That's awesome! Very very nice upgrade. My instinct is to say YES I'd like your Bernina, but then I remember that I just got a new machine barely a year ago. hehe

  15. Woohoo for you. I received the same machine in November as an early Christmas gift. What a joy to sew with, especially the built-in walking foot. She's what's making me happy. Her name is Ginger.
