Friday Felicities

Friday again so soon? What is it about summertime that seems to make time go so quickly? I've been having fun picnicking, visiting with friends, and generally enjoying Vancouver's finally-sunny (and thankfully not-too-hot) weather.

The only sewing I've done this week is to complete my Christmas in July project and tutorial. Editing photos and writing the tutorial is lots of work but lots of fun too.

But someone ELSE has been stitching and very beautifully, I might add. I received a lovely email this week from Nicole, who was inspired by my Easy Going Modern quilt and sewed up a variation as a charity quilt with her guild. She halved the size of blocks, increased the number and went to town. Check it out:

Isn't it wonderful? It's my Felicity for today - knowing that I inspired someone's beautiful quilt.

Have a terrific weekend! Mine includes a workshop on Easy Going Modern - I'm a bit nervous so please wish me luck!

I *love* comments, and I try to respond to every one by email (but I can't if you're a no-reply blogger!). So go on, don't be shy - leave one to let me know you've stopped by!
