WIP Wednesday

I am taking a while to get back into the groove of things after the holidays – how about you? I think that WIP Wednesday is a great place to start my routine again, however.

I’m going to try a new format for my WIP Wednesday posts to see how I like it. So going by the list over on my sidebar there, this is where I’m at:

New projects:

Super exciting secret project. I’m thiiiiis close to being ready to share. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek of the basted project, all ready for me to get quilting. I had grand plans to spend the evening quilting last night but they were foiled by a not-sleepy-because-of-a-late-nap 4-year-old. She was back at school today, so I have high hopes for Mama time this evening.

Mom’s placemats. They’re all quilted, and the binding is attached. Just have to stitch it down using the machine. Those suckers are taking a lot longer than I expected!

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

  1. I'm super excited for your super exciting secret project!

I'm with you on the post-holiday drag...I think I'm just about recovered.

  2. I'm curious about your secret project! Can't wait for the reveal. The colour scheme reminds me of the modern blocks of the month from Sew Mama Sew.

  3. Funny how some small projects take longer than expected.

  4. Love the colors in your secret project! Hope you got to sew tonight!

  5. Oooh, I'm excited to see your super secret project! I love the colors :) I hope you got some good sewing time in last night; I totally can relate to getting back into the swing of things after the holiday, I know I'm having a touch time too!

  6. Hope you get plenty of sewing time and looking forward to the reveal :)

  7. teasing us with the super secret... not fair. ;)

Good luck getting time in! I'm not getting much here, but the babe is still sweet, so I'm accepting it.

  8. Waiting fot the super secret reveal!

  9. I'm having an awful time getting back into the groove. I like your new format. And so naughty of you--teasing us like that!

  10. Can't wait to hear more about the secret project! Thanks for posting the placemats to the Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild's flick group for our UFO Challenge. I want to participate, but can't decide which of my many UFOs to choose!

  11. I'm just catching up on all the reading. That quilting looks very nice, and I have already seen your finished modern quilt, which I love.

  12. The colours in your secret project sneak peak look great. It looks like you have a long list of projects to keep you busy for awhile.

I *love* comments, and I try to respond to every one by email (but I can't if you're a no-reply blogger!). So go on, don't be shy - leave one to let me know you've stopped by!
