Friday Felicities

A couple of happy things today.

To kick things off, I celebrated my second "blogiversary" this week! I know it's cliché to say it but I truly cannot believe two whole years have passed since I started blogging. I love what it has brought to me, both personally (friends I never would've met otherwise) and for my quilting (my skills have been stretched every which way and I couldn't be happier). So thank you!

Secondly, I am delighted to tell you that I'll be participating in Sarah of FairyFace Designs' {Sew} Get Started Beginner Sewing Tutorials series that goes through May of 2012. In Sarah's words: "This series of tutorials is aimed at people who want to learn to sew and to make beautiful things with gorgeous, modern fabrics - who are new to sewing or who sewed in school but haven't done anything since." If you're not new to sewing, there are still going to be tons of things to do and learn. Stop by Sarah's blog to check it out - she's launching with a giveaway!

My turn doesn't come up til April, but there's LOTS for you to do and see between now and then. Click on the button here or on my sidebar to go and check it out anytime. Better yet, subscribe to Sarah's blog to get the updates as they happen!

My tutorial will show you in more detail how to make the round wonky potholders I made for the swap that I participated in late last year. You'll learn about foundation paper piecing, appliqué using fusible interfacing, bias binding and more!
