WIP Wednesday

I found it really difficult to find my sewing groove over the last little bit. I was productive in other ways, though - I culled my stash again and sold another lot of fabric on Craigslist. It feels good to give my precioussssessss some breathing space in ye olde bookcase/fabric storage area. Also nice: cash in my wallet.

But it is terrifying to know that culling 60 metres (!!!) of fabric has made only a minor dent in my inventory. Sick-making, actually.

Anyway, on to more uplifting topics - what I sewed this week.

Finished

The potholder tutorial. Thanks again for all your lovely comments here and over at Sarah's! And thanks to Craftgossip and Kool Beenz for picking it up as well.

April's block for the Stash Trad Bee. This one is for Elizabeth, and here is her fabulous tutorial for making the Radiant Ring block.

Radiant Ring for Elizabeth (Don't Call Me Betsy) - April

Dryer sachets. I make little pillows using scraps and fill them with dried lavender, then use them in lieu of fabric softener or dryer sheets. They make the clothes smell divine and you can use them many, many times before they lose their smell. Bonus: no icky perfumes or chemicals on your clothes. Win-win!

  7. i am making your potholders for a swap and they are so much fun! Your tute is very easy to follow. At first I thought all the layers would make it really bulky, but I was wrong. Great job!

  14. inspiration! It is almost Lavender Season so those sachets will put the buds and flowers to great use. Last year I couldn't think of a thing to do with all the lavender so it just bloomed and never got used...
