Friday Felicities

Tomorrow, I get to do another one of Krista's day retreats. My Friday Felicity is celebrating the pleasure that anticipation can bring. I truly love looking forward to things and I frequently indulge in the simple joy of savouring the thought of an upcoming happy event.

The retreat is more than my Friday Felicity, it's been my All This Past Month Ever Since I Signed Up Felicity because I've been happily looking forward to spending a whole day stitching on whatever my little heart desires. Shout out to my fabulous husband who is taking on a full day of G-duties after a full week of it (he is a stay-at-home-Dad). Thanks, K!

Unusually for me, I am not entirely certain what I'll be tackling during my 13 glorious hours of Me Time. I'll certainly be basting my Layer Cake Easy Going Modern since there is lots of space to do it at retreat. Otherwise, the world is my oyster, as it were.

The top project candidates for action are:

  • Pillow covers for sister using my Habitat Challenge fabrics - this project has not been touched since my last Krista retreat (oops!);
  • G's I Spy Rainbow Quilt - I've done a bit more than that photo shows, but still: at this rate, she's going to be in high school by the time this thing gets done;
  • Memory quilt for a friend's daughter;
  • Assembling the VMQG February Challenge blocks I won into a quilt top.

We shall see. I will report back, I promise! In the meantime, here's a sneak peek at my only finish this week:

At the risk of appearing immodest, I have to say I am so proud of that stitching!

I hope to take some nice photos on retreat, and do a full report for Monday.

Have a lovely weekend!

  11. Have a wonderful time at the retreat! I can't wait to attend one of Krista's retreats sometime when my childcare aligns with the retreat schedule! I am excited to go to the VMQG's Friday night sew-in in a week, so I do have some social sewing to look forward to!

    1. Depending on when my poppet gets to bed, I might swing by for the last part of the FNSI; it's so close to home it would be a shame not to, really.... :)

I *love* comments, and I try to respond to every one by email (but I can't if you're a no-reply blogger!). So go on, don't be shy - leave one to let me know you've stopped by!
