When I started blogging, it was just a means to journal my 2010 resolution to quilt at least 20 minutes a day. Little did I know how it would change my life, and not just from a quilting perspective.
I've already gushed about meeting new friends, discovering new fabrics and an entirely new (to me) global community of quilters, so I won't do it again (even though I said I would).
What I will do, however, is invite you to celebrate with me by hosting a giveaway. One lucky person will win a Fat* Quarter of each of these lovely fabrics. Our home is pet- and smoke-free.
*the purple fabric has those stripes printed on the bias and it would make a terrific binding. I could make it a regular quarter-metre cut for you.
How would a person go about entering to win the giveaway? A comment on this post is all that's needed - one per person. You can just say hi! Or if you're feeling chatty, you can make a suggestion for what block to choose for the bed quilt I'm planning to ask my Bee members to help me make. The fabric is Spa by Rosemarie Lavin, with a little bit of Hope Valley Foursquare in Pine thrown in for good measure.
Good luck and thank you for making my first year of blogging such a wonderful experience. Here's to many more!
Congratulations on the anniversary! What a wonderfull fabrics you are giving away :) I would gladly advice you which block to choose but I'm not a real quilt expert ^.-
ReplyDeleteSo I will just wish you many wonderfull blogging years :)
Best regards
Kirie

ReplyDeleteI'm celebrating one year of blogging as well, so I can relate to how nice it is to meet people in blogland who share an interest in handcrafts with me. I don't know which block to suggest to you because I love traditional blocks but know that some quilters enjoy doing their own designs or like to follow a more modern approach to quilting. Congratulations and Best Wishes on your anniversary.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiverary Felicity! How about a wonky New York beauty block - challenging but fun and it can be nice and bright. Thank you for the giveaway - love the colours!!

Congratulations on your anniversary. Block suggestion: some type of variation on a churn dash - soft modern fabrics with a traditional block - lots flexibility for each bee partner to interpret the block. Thanks for the lovely giveaway.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your anniversary! The square in square sounds good... : )
ReplyDeleteThanks for the generous giveaway! I love the color palette that you chose for the fabrics for your project! I love those blues and greens.
