Bee Sewcial 2016 Wrap Up

November's Bee Sewcial blocks for Leanne she can quilt closed out another year of incredible collaboration, creativity and challenge.

Leanne asked for "maximalist" circles (ie the opposite of minimalist). My block - which came out at something like 13"x16" (can't recall and didn't take note) - was hugely inspiring, as you'll see in a later post. For now, though, here it is:

I referenced this tutorial by Marianne Haak of The Quilting Edge to create my improv bull's eye. I LOVE it!

And just like that, the 2016 Bee Sewcial year is done! I created a lot of cool stuff based on the monthly prompts, and learned a ton too:

The 10 members of Bee Sewcial share our progress and work on Instagram - look for the #beesewcial hashtag, and please feel free to follow along using #inspiredbybeesewcial as we head into 2017 and a third year of creating.

I intend to finish both of my quilts from this bee in the coming year, hopefully even in Q1. Stay tuned!

I *love* comments, and I try to respond to every one by email (but I can't if you're a no-reply blogger!). So go on, don't be shy - leave one to let me know you've stopped by!
