New Placemats

Finally! The placemats I made back in 2011 were so old and worn out, I decided it was time to make some new ones.

I used two charm packs of Mochi by Rashida Coleman-Hale for Cotton + Steel. Such fun, bright, funky fabrics! The pattern is just a quick Disappearing 9-Patch.

I backed them with some fun Moda grunge, which I also used for the bindings. And the quilting is different on each placemat.

What have you sewn lately?

  1. Oh, those are delicious! I would come steal them from you if I knew where you lived and if they matched or even remotely went with my kitchen! The colors are fabulous. I am on a scrap busting tear so I'm trying to make a dent in my scrap pile - currently it's baby size and I can't decide whether to make two baby size or one larger one. I think I'll go for two baby size because it's easier to handle. Happy Friday to you!

I *love* comments, and I try to respond to every one by email (but I can't if you're a no-reply blogger!). So go on, don't be shy - leave one to let me know you've stopped by!
