My Sewing Space and a Bee Block

I took a break from my Supernova piecing (subject of a later post) to make my block for the Sew Fresh Fabrics Scrap Bee.

Have you heard of it? Sign up and when it's your group's turn, Peg and Becca send you a scrap package. Make your block then keep the rest. Sweet deal, eh? The block I made is going to be part of a quilt for the Hope and Dreams Quilt Challenge for ALS. Go here for the details.

My sewing space was looking particularly "typical" today so I snapped a photo. The space doesn't have any windows but to the left is an area that is open to the upper floor and the skylight which lets in some nice natural light during the daytime.

I'll be back soon with a completed quilt top, I hope.

  1. now that is an interesting premise for a bee! Your studio space looks so neat and tidy! Even though there are some scraps around, the overall picture is serene and organized. Looks like a great spot to work in!

  2. Nice sewing area! (and fun to see the pincushion and scrap catcher!)

I'll check out that bee. Sounds cool.

I *love* comments, and I try to respond to every one by email (but I can't if you're a no-reply blogger!). So go on, don't be shy - leave one to let me know you've stopped by!
