Having said that, I appear to be on track for one QAL, and behind (so far) in another. Batting .500 - not too terrible, right?
The Dresden Quilt Along! I'm pleased to report that I fixed this mess - those puckers just would not press out:
And it now looks much more respectable - the circle is actually round now (insert eyeroll).
I'm puttering along with the Supernova Quilt Along. I love love love how the blocks are shaping up and I am so so happy with my fabric choices! It took me a loooong time to plan and cut the blocks, but I'm there, and I've pieced two (of nine) blocks' worth of sub-units. I should be able to be closer to done by the time next week's instructions are posted.
It's not much, but it's something - I'm linking to Quilt Story's Fabric Tuesday.
Love your blocks. Fantastic colours.ReplyDelete
Oooh, I love them both! I like QAL a lot too, I just couldn't do either of these right now. Maybe when I'm all settled. :)ReplyDelete
I love the fabrics you're using for Lynne's QAL! And the solids for the Supernova quilt along look super fab, too :)ReplyDelete
Oh, love your solids for the Supernova QAL!ReplyDelete
Your blocks are great! I am loving the Supernova solids!ReplyDelete
I feel EXACTLY the same way about quilt a longs! Are we long lost sisters separated at birth? I love them starting out and really love all the company, but then I get this uneasy feeling that I'm behind. I took a break for a while but have been lurking around Lily's and kind of jealous of all the fun you guys are having.ReplyDelete
Those blocks are beautiful and that supernova looks awesome with solids. Hmmmm.....
Beautiful, I love that you used Momo for your dresden, it looks so yummy!ReplyDelete
Beautiful quilts! I really like the supernova pattern in solids!ReplyDelete
Oh, I'm loving that dresden in Wonderland! So pretty! And of course your Supernova blocks look great! Don't stress about being behind. Next week's piecing is a lot shorter and quicker than this week's, so if you're not caught up by then, you probably will be soon.ReplyDelete
That Momo is the perfect choice for the Dresden and love the Supernova blocks!!ReplyDelete
Looks like you had some fun at Spool tearing up the solids!! Awesome fabrics for your Super Nova quilt (love that design). Don't fuss, I haven't even made my dresden templates yet!ReplyDelete
I'm behind on every single quilt-along. Not even starting actually means I'm really behind on some of them! Your solids are awesome!ReplyDelete
I know what you mean - will someone please invent a 25 hr week! Your dresden is gorgeous. I've found myself tittering away reading the threads on the QAL too! Great fun! JxoReplyDelete
oh that circle is so fantastic. That's one qal I may have to do after the fact. Love your supernova too, the colors are going to be great!ReplyDelete
Oooo I love these!! I wanna see both all the way done! :) Dresden is looking fabulous and the supernova...so cool! It looks so crisp and sharp, perfectly pieced. Well done!ReplyDelete
wonderland looks sooooooo good in dresden form! nice block!ReplyDelete
Your supernova is looking fantastic! I totally understand about the qa pressure! One of mine is 'on hold to finish'; the other (supernova) I feel slightly behind, but still have till Thursday to catch up. I DO love the cameraderie tho!ReplyDelete
Pretty colors. I need to get cracking on that too! My SG is taking forever!ReplyDelete
those both look great! and at least your qal are from this calendar year.... i have 4 that are not completed from last year! talk about behind.....ReplyDelete
