100th Post Giveaway

Woo hoo! I've published 100 posts on my blog!

I'll save the really sappy stuff for my blogiversary - you know, the goopy gushing about how blogging has opened my eyes to a whole new and exciting community of quilters. Silly musings about discovering an incredibly fun and warm group of people who like to quilt just like me will not be included in this post, nope no way. I'm sure not going to go on about the myriad free tutorials and patterns made available by generous and talented quilting bloggers, and how many of those patterns, tutorials and designs have irrevocably changed how I create.

Nope. I'm having me a giveaway, people! My first one!
4 FQs of Amy Butler Gypsy Caravan

To celebrate 100 posts, I've dug deeeeep into the stash and I'm giving away four fat quarters of out of print and hard to find Amy Butler Gypsy Caravan fabric.

To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment on this post (one per customer, please). You can certainly just say "hi!" but bearing in mind my blog's name ("felicity" means happiness), why don't you tell me about something that made you smile today?

I'll pick a commenter at random on Friday, October 8th at 14:00 PST and announce the winner soon thereafter. EDITED: comments now closed. Winner announced here.

International entries are welcome. Good luck!

  2. Ha! I already said that stuff today on MY blog! That's okay, we can both do sappy and celebrate how awesome we all are, right? And I will take you up on OOP AB FQ's!!! I bet even CSIS can't crack that code.

  9. Congrats on the 100th post. I, sadly, am not a very consistent blogger, I think it might take me 10 years to make it to 100 posts.

Today, the fact that I was able to do my own alterations (successfully) to a bridesmaid's dress in need to wear Sat makes me happy! Hooray for saving money!

  16. congrats on 100 posts Felicity!

Something that made me smile today, mostly because it was strange: I live in Phoenix. I just got back from the community college where I'm taking an evening class...

When I pulled into the parking lot it was sunny. As I turned off the car, dark brown clouds were racing across the sky. I was only 100 yards from the buildings, but the speed of the wind and the first rain drops had me panic! I grabbed my backpack, umbrella and keys and started to run. By the time I heard my car arm behind me, the rain was pouring. By the time I passed the first row of cars, it was hailing!. 50 yards left to the closest building, the hailstones are over an inch and hitting me through my umbrella. I'm 30 yards from the door and awning, when the wind picks up and starts blowing everything horizontally: I have to use my umbrella as a shield as I walk.

All of a sudden, everything stops: I had walked into a huge AC that was blocking the wind and hail. I crouched behind it for a minute as the storm increases and the hailstones are 2 inches now. I see a lady in a minivan staring at me in worry. After 2 minutes, the hail looked smaller than an inch, so I run out from behind the AC towards the door. When I round the corner, there were 30 strangers just inside the door who cheered, "you made it!" They whipped open the doors and pulled me to safety, smiling and cheering. They hugged me and then we all stood there and laughed. IT was the most unimaginably strange thing EVER. I can't have made it up: I don't think I'm that imaginative!

Anyways! 100 is a lot: I'm gonna sit here and poke through your blog :)
    Sabi xoxo

  17. Congratulations on your 100th post! Today after a miserable and grey start (which can be expected in these parts any time now until Summer)the sun decided to come out. And from the office window all the sky I see is blue. That made me smile! That and the thought that it's nearly home time for me!

  18. Hi There! Big congratulations on your 100th post, that's certain an accomplishment.

What made me smile today, when I saw two little kids walking to school today with their mom, each of them was carrying a handmade picket sign that had something scribbled on it. I don't know what they were "picketing"; maybe it was just a class project; but it was funny nonetheless.

  19. Congrats on your 100th post, that's certainly something to celebrate for!! What made me smile today was my usually grumpy in the morning fiance voluntarily offered me kisses before I left for work in the morning =)

  21. Well, it's early, so I haven't smiled too much just yet, but yesterday something that made me smile was when my two year old ran out of the bathroom after his dad gave him a bath, in order to give me a "nice, new hug." :) Happy 100th!

  22. I really want to enter this as I'm just starting to get in to quilting. Today what put a smile on my face was the perfect grilled cheese sandwich I just made and ate. Isn't it amazing how something as simple as that can make you happy and smile.

  23. I adore my kiddos and playing with them during the day, but there is a wonderful happiness that comes when you see them quiet and asleep in bed.
