WIP Wednesday/November Just Three

Happy Wednesday! I haven't been able to get to much stitching done in the last while but I do want to do a little recap of what I've been up to.

Since my last WIP recap, ...

I participated in the VMQG Kona Modern Quilts challenge. I got a FQ of one of Cynthia's prints in the Pacific colourway and made another pin cushion/thread catcher using Elizabeth Hartman's tutorial from Sew, Mama, Sew.

I finished an appliance cover for a good friend's KitchenAid stand mixer:

This instagram photo is all I've got right now - sorry it's so awful!

No wonder I feel like I've done sweet fanny all since my retreat - it's true! None of those projects was on the list. Oh well.

Now for my November Just Three recap. If you'll recall, my Three were:

1. Make project for VMQG Kona Modern Quilts challenge. YES!
2. Make item(s) for VMQG's table at Got Craft?. YES - a small bunting! (but no photo - oops!)
3. Enter at least 1 quilt in the QuiltCon quilt show. YES! I entered my confetti quilt and Sea Glass on Sand.

For December, I plan to:

1. Make a new outfit for each of G's Barbies - birthday or Christmas gift depending on when it gets done.
2. Make at least 2 of 5 teacher gifts.
3. Make myself a black pencil skirt.

So that's it from me right now - I'm finished two of the four full-day workshops I'm delivering this week. So far, so good. They're fun, but I'll be glad when I'm done. It's exhausting work!

  1. Your pincushion/thread catcher is cute. Good luck on your goals.

  2. Oh! Your pincushion and thread catcher is so cute. I desperately need one of those. I keep picking up my baby and finding random threads all over him from rolling under my feet. I love the light blue fabric on it too!

  3. These are so lovely! And excited about your QuiltCon entries!!

  4. Sweet little threadcatcher. I love that line of fabric...

  5. A pencil skirt. I love them. Happy stitching to you ; )

  6. What's your teacher gift plan? I'm undecided.

  7. Oh I love love love your thread catcher- what a cool idea & great use of the fabric!! :D

I *love* comments, and I try to respond to every one by email (but I can't if you're a no-reply blogger!). So go on, don't be shy - leave one to let me know you've stopped by!
