100 Quilts for Kids

Swim, Bike, Quilt
Have you heard about 100 Quilts for Kids? It's the brainchild of Kate from Swim. Bike. Quilt. Its concept is very simple: make a quilt or 2 or however many you'd like. Donate it to a child in need, locally if you can.

There's a blog hop happening from July 2 through September 25 with inspiration and great prizes.

Lynne from Lily's Quilts is hosting the first stop on the blog hop, and she has a wonderful post highlighting the quilts that have been made for Siblings Together. There is also a fab giveaway!

I've made a couple of blocks to donate to a group quilt for Siblings Together.

This is the quilt I'm making for Siblings Together - it's at the stage where I am contemplating quilting ideas. I'll be using my photo + vinyl + washable marker technique (tutorial here).

Won't you join in and make a quilt? Surely we can get to 100 and beyond!

  1. What lovely cheerful fabrics. I bet any child would be thrilled to receive them. I'll definitely take a look at the links you've given.

  2. Fun quilt. I am looking forward to when I have time to make a quilt or two for Guatemala : ) 3 of my kids have taken them down before and they were much appreciated. Have fun quilting as you think of the little recipient!

I *love* comments, and I try to respond to every one by email (but I can't if you're a no-reply blogger!). So go on, don't be shy - leave one to let me know you've stopped by!
