First things first: the giveaway winner! Thank you for your lovely comments, everyone, and for all your support. It means a LOT.
The winner of the 3 half-metres of Mendocino fabric is:
And who is commenter 51? Kristie!!
Kristie is a fellow Canadian and wouldn't you agree that her proposition is kind of awesome (she had me at "wine")? I do believe there is still snow where she is so I think I'm just going to take a chance on Canada Post. Congratulations, Kristie!!
And the title of the post promised a Supernova Full Frontal (TM Krista who was also the photographer).
Isn't Lee's pattern wonderful?? I did find out that I inadvertently rotated one of the blocks' subunits, but it still looks nice. That, and the fact that it looks fabulous no matter what fabric people have used, is the mark of a great design in my humble opinion. Thanks, Lee!
And thanks again to you all for reading, following, commenting, and participating. You make this fun.
xoxo
aww, yay Kristie!
ReplyDeleteAnd beautiful top!!!
Your quilt is wonderful! Congratulations to Kristie, too bad you are not going to be hand delivering them to her.
ReplyDeleteOh! So close! I actually read Krista, before my eyes adjusted and saw it ended in 'ie', not 'a'. Darn.
ReplyDelete"TM Krista" that's awesome, thanks.
Lucky Kristie! Loooooove your Supernova, your colour palette works so well, it's really fab!
ReplyDeleteOh that quilt is AWEsome girl. Great design I agree. But I love the colours you have used! Hmmm think I might add that to the to-do list. I love its geometric repeat!
ReplyDeleteI love the name. I love the fabric selection. And the fact that you used mendocino fabric in the center of each block. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Kristie it is great fabric...it will heat up and melt that snow!! Your supernova is gorgeous as well!!
ReplyDeleteLoving your Supernova!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYaaaaaaayyyyyyy!!!! Doing a happy happy dance!! Thanks so much, Felicity!! Bummed that we won't be sharing wine, but I guess I will just have to drink your glass AND mine in celebration, no? Thank you thank you!! This was great news to wake up to after a night filled with 2 puke-y kids.
ReplyDeleteAnd as for that stellar supernova....I already drooled over it on Flickr, but seriously. My favorite colors and it looks so. darn. awesome. I may have to push my other stuff aside and just MAKE one already!! Gorgeous!
Beautiful quilt top--love the colors and you've done a wonderful job with assembly.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the supernova just wonderful??!!! Every quilt looks so great and unique! I really love how your center blogs just pop!
ReplyDeleteFelicity, I think this may be one of the coolest quilts I've seen in a long time!
ReplyDeleteYay for Kristie!! :) And Felicity, I really love how you interpreted this pattern, I love your color choices!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks for the nice compliment on my design. You did a fabulous job with it! I love seeing all the different interpretations by everyone.
ReplyDeleteI think your goof of accidentally turning the sub units makes it look interesting, I like how it creates a 4 patch at each intersection. Great job Felicity, it's just lovely!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this quilt! I've seen the pattern around on the web but I really like the way you've combined neptune blue and sea green solids with Mendocino prints!
