Swap Ornaments Done!

I joined the Trim The Tree Handmade Ornament swap on Flickr. I fell a bit behind in my personal schedule on these, but I did manage to find time to sit down today to put my ideas into action.

I think they look pretty cute! The fabric is Peas and Carrots (green pez), and the tree trunks are some Heather Ross from my scrap bin.

I'm not sure how to do the hangers, though. Maybe just some embroidery floss threaded through the top? Or maybe in the top corner so they look like gift tags? Ideas welcome.

  1. Those are really cute! I would sew a loop through the very top to hang. Red ric rac would be cute!

  2. I'm making something fairly similar for an ornament swap! I can't post pics yet, and since I've not finished one, I couldn't anyway.

My pattern uses a metal thing in the top...can't remember what it's called, but you punch it through...anyway, then hook a ribbon through that. Course my stuff isn't here right now, so i'm sure no one knows what I'm talking about. =)

I *love* comments, and I try to respond to every one by email (but I can't if you're a no-reply blogger!). So go on, don't be shy - leave one to let me know you've stopped by!
