Keeping It Real

I know that you aren't under the impression that I'm one of those super-accomplished, seemingly-perfect bloggers whose blogs are overflowing with lots of gorgeous projects at an impossible rate.

But in case you were wondering if I got my 20 minutes in last night, the answer is no. And the reason is that at 3:30 am on Friday, this was my life, as told to my sisters and Mom (rated L for some Language):

G wakes up and says she has to pee. Fine, I'm like "let's go" and she doesn't want to for some reason. Then I offer to get the potty and bring it in her room. Okay. I get up and bring it in. NOT OKAY ZOMG! Crying, crying, pants-wetting, have to change pants BUT NOT THE KIND YOU HAVE TO ROLL UP AT THE BOTTOM OMG MAMA. Fine. New pants. Now she is hungry. How 'bout some lie-down nursing, kiddo (Mama's tired, yo!)? OMG NO NOT NURSING I WANT FOOD MY TUMMY IS EMPTY. Does she want some cheese? Yes, cheese is good. Upstairs we go. I get cheese. She ignores the cheese and OMG I HAVE TO PEE AGAIN. Fine. Dowstairs we go. IT'S DARK IN THE BATHROOM WHY IS IT DARK? I turn the light on. OMG THAT'S SO BRIGHT I HATE THAT LIGHT. Fine. Light is off. Nightlight is put on (after much fumbling in the DARK). I DON'T WANT TO PEE OMG I DON'T HAVE TO PEE WAAAAAAAAAH. Pants wet again. Change pants OMG NOT THE ONES YOU HAVE TO ROLL UP. I get new pants. Daddy starts to put them on one foot. Foot gets stuck out YOU HAVE TO ROLL THOSE ONES UP WAAAAAAAH. No you don't you're taller now. Puts them on and rams them down under her belly like an 85-year old man THEY ARE TOO LONG WAAAH and by this time she REALLY HAS TO PEE OMG. She climbs on the toilet, crying the whole time and pees, which makes her cry even harder but at least she's now peed. Then she wants some "quiet playing" - AT ASS O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING WTF KID? I say I'm going to bed, Daddy stays up with her. OMG MAMA NOT IN YOUR OWN BED YOU HAVE TO LIE DOWN IN MY BED. Whatever, kid. Fine. An hour later, she's brought to me, nurses and falls asleep.

So yeah, needless to say, Life happened and Mama didn't sew yesterday because Mama fell asleep at 8:30 pm.

Oh, and? SHE STILL WON'T WEAR THE JUMPER. Like I said - good thing she's cute.

I *love* comments, and I try to respond to every one by email (but I can't if you're a no-reply blogger!). So go on, don't be shy - leave one to let me know you've stopped by!
