Bzzzz!

I've joined two online bees, and these are the first blocks for my first month. One of the many wonderful things about bees is that you get to play with other people's fabric (these bits were just gorgeous!), and sometimes try a block you haven't tried before for whatever reason.

I enjoyed making these string blocks - they're sewn onto a paper foundation to keep everything on the straight and narrow. If you're thinking of making some in the future, I recommend using your walking foot. Without it, my fabrics were sliding on the paper. With it, everything stayed put.
